Who are we?
We are an organization who have fun in the community and explore nature together. We want to be free, take responsibility and, by the way, let everyday life be everyday life as it shoud be. The Keltic Folk School is an independent community of young people. We are not bound to any political parties, denominations, adult associations or other interest groups.
What exactly do we do?
On Saturdays we meet in and around our ClubHaus and do a lot of different cool things: baking bread on a stick, weaving, carving, building, playing, singing, cooking... And these are just a few examples. Our camps take place 2 to 3 times a year, where we spend a weekend together. Even more important, however, are our journeys, which take us to various places in America – or beyond. These are experiences that you will remember for the rest of your life and that you will be proud of for a long time to come.

No, you don't need anything except – just a wish! Later, some
things, such as a sleeping bag, will be useful, but
you will find out from us.
Our home ...
... is located in the Ozark Mountains near Mountain View in the Buffalo region with more ClubHaus popping up and incorporating all the time! Our Headquarters simply consists of a kitchen and a large room with a fire pit. Around our home is a stone pit with our group places, which we use especially in summer.

OUR CIRCLE
There’s no way that QORPS could provide the opportunity at the Folk School without the Circle of Supporters of its many patrons. We need your help to make sure the KFS have everything they need to prosper. All Club support and every sale of HAMMER Labor Bonds get re-invested right back it's Guilds and Clubs. As a youth Organization we are involved with the Care and Council of our young Folks. We believe it is the experience of childhood that shapes later Life where high Ideals and Virtue are only able to flourish in an Environment that is conducive to their Cultivation. In providing our young people Opportunity to learn responsibility and innovation free from the constraints of formal Institutions and manic material modernity they are better equipped to face the Future.

KEEPING TRADITIONS ALIVE
Chip Carving is just one of many traditional Folk trades we encourage at KFS. The Boys clubs have access to a wide range of tools and Equipment for hands on activities that are both practical and teach a useful skill.

Natural Innovation
Unlike most youth organizations that focus on formalism and degrees of merit, Keltic Folk School instead concentrates on building self reliance independence and innovation. Allowing our young people to organize and direct the club as they wish to imagine it. Varying in style and direction from one locale to the next, KFS seeks to cultivate Cultural, National, and Natural traditions in our young people through art song and dance and in making available skill building workshops and lectures to help them along the way. Woodcarving, loom weaving, music and sculpture as well as embroidery and domestic talents, we try to provide as many meaningful and useful activities possible for positive development.
